Tory Lanez - Memories Don't Die
Tory Lanez is a really talented dude.
Like before we get into this review that has to be stated, Tory Lanez is really talented. He quietly might be more talented than Drake, unfortunately he'll never get out of his shadow. With that in mind it makes sense that Tory and Drake didn't get along, whats wild is that their beef lasted 8 years. Tory is 25, that means he’s had tension with a grown man since he was young enough to date R Kelly.
But that's all old news, Tory Lanez has been a part of many hit songs over the past few years and he works his ass off to make music, so lets get into Memories Don't Die.
Tory Lanez is extremely talented but his problem is that he lacks creativity. He can rap, he can sing, but he can't come up with new shit. He gets accused of biting styles but in reality its his creative process. Tory's the type of guy who can't do something until he sees someone else do it. So his music is like taking a good Paint Nite class. The painting is great and your date is impressed but in reality all you did was follow directions.
When I hear Tory Lanez music I'm not really inspired to do anything new, but I am inspired to put effort into things I've done a thousand times before. Tory makes music for buying a replacement laptop or filling your Gas tank. Actually, he makes music for the 2nd guy in a Train. Like you don't have the bravery to fuck First, but after you see your man do it, you can do it too.
I don't want to shit on Tory too much, I mean the songs aren't bad, its just I've heard all this before. There are way worse options that Tory Lanez; this guy works too hard to make bad music, unfortunately he's not breaking new ground. He will always be the Buzz Aldrin to someone else's Neil Armstrong. It's up to him if he embraces it.

The Top 5 Tapes of Gucci Mane #1: THE MOVIE BURRPRINT 3D
Gucci Mane is a man of many Mixtapes.
To be honest, some aren't great, some are mediocre, and some are audio abortions.
But SOME are incredible.
The best one is the one that caught me off guard the most, The Movie: BurrPrint 3D.
First of all the cover is insane. Like there's no way it'd be good, I mean look at this shit:
He looks like a Boss in Zombies Ate My Neighbors.
Then the tape starts and Gucci QUOTES the Evil Witch from Snow White and The 7 Dwarves. I've been listening to rap/hiphop/trap for my entire life and I have never heard that happen. But once it does happen Gucci does not take his foot off the gas until the tape ends.
When people say Gucci is a clone, this is the tape that inspires that statement. There is no way that the Gucci Mane on Burrprint 3D is the same Gucci proposing to his girl at the Atlanta Hawks game.
This is dangerous, hilarious, preposterous Gucci. This is every Gucci combined into one. This is a Gucci Spirit Bomb, this is the Gucci that scares your mom, this is Gucci Mane La Flare at his BEST. Unfortunately for us and more importantly Gucci, Gucci at his best is Gucci at his most volatile.
Every time he speaks in between tracks he sounds higher than an NRA contribution. Everything he says is hilarious until you remember he's probably holding at least 3 pistols on his person. This is the tape you listen to when you want to piss away your entire Tax Return on jewelry. This is "lets do steroids to bench 300+" music. High Risk High Reward music.
I honestly don't know why this tape is so amazing, everything barely hangs together. It's like the last shot in Space Jam where Jordan becomes a cartoon; this shouldn't be possible. But thankfully for me and Gucci Fans everywhere, this Mixtape works.
Part of me gets sad that we'll never see this Gucci Mane again, but luckily for us he left this tape as his legacy.
